It's very important for a community to be able to discuss and dialogue.  If we did all the communicating on these pages, we'd be lost in a sea of information.  By linking with people that are interested we can continue a community dialogue.  If this becomes a standard practice, then we can do this on multiple sites and we will always be able to see the topics we are following from multiple sites.
